Odessa, TX. – Nalleli Waldron, 39, has been identified as the woman who died in a car accident that left two others injured on Monday night in Odessa.
According to the Odessa Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of 42nd Street and Andrews Highway.
Waldron was driving a Mazda MPV northbound on Andrews Highway at a high rate of speed when he reportedly ran a red light and struck a blue Ford Mustang traveling eastbound on 42nd Street.
Waldron was transported to Medical Center Hospital, where she later died.
A passenger in the Mazda, 47-year-old Frederick Rodriguez, was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the Mustang, 21-year-old Nathan Montoya, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
