Huntsville, TX – A Huntsville police officer was critically injured early Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in Huntsville, according to the police.
The collision occurred at about 1:45 a.m. on December 16, 2025, on Avenue M near 8th Street.
Police said officers were trying to stop a stolen vehicle, but the driver sped off at a high rate of speed and crashed head-on into Officer Sean Brinson’s patrol vehicle, who was responding to the incident.
Officer Brinson had to be extricated from his vehicle and was taken to a Houston hospital in critical condition.
No other details were released.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
