Fisher County, TX – One person was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Fisher County, according to a local news source.
The fatal collision was reported around 10:51 a.m. on December 21 on State Highway 70.
According to the report, an SUV was exiting a private drive and was trying to travel southbound onto the highway. It failed to yield the right of way to a northbound pickup truck, resulting in a collision.
The SUV driver, 87-year-old Jerry Leon Fry of Sweetwater, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
The collision remains under investigation.
