Kennedy was riding a bicycle south on the highway when he was struck from behind by a pickup truck

Odessa, TX. – Eddie Kennedy, 64, has been identified as the bicyclist who died in a collision in Odessa on December 19.
According to the Odessa Police Department, the accident happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 7700 block of Andrews Highway.
Kennedy was riding a bicycle south on the highway when he was struck from behind by a Chevrolet pickup truck.
Kennedy was taken to Medical Center Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
