Milam County, TX – Two teens were killed on Christmas Eve in a car accident in Milam County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal collision happened on December 24 on US Highway 79.

DPS said a pickup truck towing a homemade trailer crossed into the westbound lane and crashed into a westbound vehicle driven by Cooper Elsik, 18.

Elsik and Brooke Patton, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene. They both worked at the Soapy Falls Express Car Wash family in Round Rock.

A GoFundMe campaign page was set up to help with the funeral expenses.

No additional details regarding the accident were provided.

The DPS is investigating the accident.

Milam County, TX. – Two teenagers lost their lives in a car crash on Wednesday evening in Milam County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on U.S. Highway 79 near County Road 334 at around 6:55 p.m.

An eastbound white 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by a 60-year-old man and towing a utility trailer drifted into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2019 Ford Escape.

The driver of the Ford lost control and struck a 2026 Infinity QX60, which was traveling behind the Dodge Ram.

The driver of the Ford Escape and his 17-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three occupants of the Infiniti QX60 sustained serious injuries and were taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
