Dallas, TX – Two brothers were seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in Dallas, according to the police.

The accident happened on December 18 on Victory Avenue.

Police said Chris Purvis and his brother Cody Purvis were on their way to a Dallas Mavericks game when they were struck by a vehicle at a crosswalk.

Chris was taken to the hospital with a traumatic brain injury, while Cody was taken to the hospital with a shattered pelvis.

Cody needed a breathing tube.

The driver who hit them, 30-year-old Giovanni Perez, tried to flee the scene, but he was chased by two men, who held him until officers arrived. He was drunk at the time of the accident.
