Montley County, TX. – A 71-year-old Roaring Springs man was killed in a car crash on Sunday night in Motley County.
According to the local police, the crash occurred on State Highway 70 about 1.3 miles south of FM 864 around 8:40 p.m.
A 1996 Chevrolet S-10 pickup driven by a 71-year-old man had stopped in the northbound lane with its head and tail lamps off when it was rear-ended by a 2001 Lexus passenger car.
The man was taken to Crosbyton Clinic Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Lexus was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
