One Killed in Bastrop County Two-Vehicle Crash at Highway 71 and FM 1209
Bastrop County, Texas (December 24, 2018) – One person was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Bastrop County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The deadly accident was reported at about 12:09 p.m. December 23, at Highway 71 and FM 1209.
The manner in which the accident occurred was not immediately established.
One person was killed in the crash. The victim’ identity was not immediately disclosed.
Authorities closed Highway 71 for several hours as they worked on the scene.
The highway was reopened at about 3:00 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
