The collision occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on January 19 at the intersection of Bandera Road and West Loop 1604 North.

San Antonio, TX – Two San Antonio police officers were injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle collision in San Antonio’s Northwest Side, according to the police.
The collision occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on January 19 at the intersection of Bandera Road and West Loop 1604 North.
Police said a vehicle ran a red light at the intersection and broadsided the two officers who were traveling through the intersection on a green light.
The force of the impact caused the officers’ vehicle to leave the roadway and hit two utility poles.
One of the officers sustained a head injury, while the other sustained neck and back injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The other driver was uninjured in the accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
