Armstrong County, TX – One person was killed, and another was injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Armstrong County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened on February 5 on the Claude Highway (FM 1151) near CR 5.
DPS said 23-year-old Robert McGuire of Claude was driving a Honda Accord westbound while 27-year-old Jonathan Solis of Hereford was driving a GMC Sierra eastbound.
The Honda left the roadway, for unknown reasons, and drove into a ditch. It then re-entered the roadway, crossed into the eastbound lane in front of the Sierra, resulting in a collision.
McGuire was pronounced dead at the scene.
Solis was taken to an Amarillo hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
