Houston, TX – A 32-year-old woman was killed Sunday night in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on February 1 in the 2400 block of Pierce Street.

Police said Enrique Acevedo Barocio, 27, was driving a blue Ford Expedition at a high rate of speed when he struck the woman who was walking across the street. He also hit several parked vehicles.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Barocio showed signs of intoxication at the scene and was arrested and taken to the Harris County Jail. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The police are investigating the accident.
