Two Injured in Laredo School Bus Crash on Loop 20 near Clark Blvd
Laredo, Texas – Two people were injured early Monday morning in a school bus crash in Laredo, according to the Laredo Police Department.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m., May 20, on Loop 20 near Clark Blvd.
Police said a UISD school bus was exiting the loop when an SUV in front of it made an abrupt stop. The bus driver was unable to make a complete stop in time and struck the SUV.
The bus was taking 45 students to Gonzalez Middle School when the crash occurred. One student and the driver of the SUV were taken to LMC for treatment.
The remaining children were taken to school on the same bus with a different driver. The other bus driver underwent drug and alcohol testing as per UISD protocol.
The police are investigating the crash.
