2 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on North Freeway in Houston
Houston, Texas – Two men were injured Saturday night in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The crash happened around 10:00 p.m., June 1, in the 5500 block of the North Freeway at Werner.
Police said a car crashed into an 18-wheeler transporting fuel, causing it to flip over.
The driver of the 18-wheeler got out of the vehicle before it exploded.
The 18-wheeler was holding about 8,800 gallons of unleaded fuel.
Two men were injured in the crash and one of them had life-threatening injuries.
The southbound lanes of the North Freeway were closed for more than 20 hours following the crash.
The police are investigating the crash.
