Four-Year-Old Injured in Sherman Pedestrian Crash at Sherman Municipal Lawn

Sherman, Texas (June 14, 2019) – A 4-year-old child was hospitalized after an accident where a vehicle struck seven people on Thursday night in Sherman, according to the authorities.

The incident took place at about 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at the  Hot Summer Nights concert on Sherman Municipal Lawn.

Police said an elderly driver failed to put her SUV into drive after pulling out from the parking lot and ended up backing into a crowd waiting in line.

Four children and three adults were hit by the car.

A four-year-old boy was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries due to the crash.

No other injuries were reported.

The incident remained under investigation.
