7 Hospitalized After Chase Ends in Crash at Gears Road and Ella Boulevard in Houston

Houston, Texas (May 13, 2018) – Seven people were hospitalized after a driver operating a stolen vehicle crashed into multiple others at an intersection in north Houston on Saturday evening, according to the authorities.
The incident happened near the intersection of Gears Road and Ella Boulevard on Saturday, May 12.
Police said a HPD officer was coming from the scene of another crash when he attempted to stop a driver who was traveling at a high rate of speed.
The male driver failed to stop and fled from the site. His vehicle then crashed into several other vehicles near the intersection, including a white Mazda, carrying a family of five.
The five occupants of the Mazda and a person in one of the other cars involved were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the stolen vehicle was also hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Police said charges are pending an ongoing investigation.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
