75-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Eastex Freeway in Houston

Houston, Texas – A 75-year-old man was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The deadly accident happened around 11:15 p.m., June 8, in the 16800 block of Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59).

Police said the man was walking on the freeway when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with information on this crash is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
