Catarino Ibarra ID’d as Man Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident at Alameda Avenue and George Orr Road
El Paso, Texas (December 2, 2018) – The man who was killed Wednesday night in a pedestrian accident at an intersection in El Paso’s Lower Valley has been identified as Catarino Ibarra, 78, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:35 p.m. November 28, in the area of Alameda Avenue and George Orr Road near Ascarate Park.
Police said a man was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger eastbound on Alameda Avenue when Ibarra stepped into his path and was struck by the vehicle. Ibarra was outside of a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Ibarra was killed in the crash.
No further details regarding the crash were available.
The police are investigating the crash.
