Charles Henson Dies in Bicycle vs. Car Accident in Fort Worth
68-year-old Charles Henson was riding his bike southwest on Vickery Boulevard when he collided with a vehicle that was traveling northeast.
Fort Worth, TX – A 68-year-old bicyclist was killed after colliding with a vehicle near an intersection in Fort Worth, according to the Benbrook Police Department (BPD).
Authorities said the accident happened around 8 a.m. Saturday, September 7 in the area of the 7700 block of W. Vickery Boulevard and Old Benbrook Road.

According to the Tarrant County Examiners’s Office, the victim, identified as 68-year-old Charles Henson, was riding his bike southwest on Vickery Boulevard when he collided with a vehicle that was traveling northeast. Authorities say the vehicle was turning north onto Old Benbrook Road when the accident occurred.
An initial investigation showed that the driver failed to yield to the right of way while turning left.
Henson was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
The incident remains under investigation.
