2 Hospitalized in Hewitt Multi-Vehicle Accident near Waco

Hewitt, Texas (November 28, 2017) – At least two people sustained injuries Saturday night following a multi-car crash at a Hewitt intersection, a local news source reported.
The November 25 incident occurred on southbound I-35 and involved up to 5 vehicles. The report indicated that the accident started when an 18-wheeler vehicle attempted to avoid another accident.
The crash led to the closure of a half-mile section of the freeway near Baxley Road for more than an hour to facilitate an investigation.
A couple was reportedly rushed to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, they sustained non-life threatening injuries.
