Driver Killed in West Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on Beltway 8

Houston, Texas (December 17, 2017) – A driver was killed early Saturday morning after running a red light at an intersection on Beltway 8 and crashing into several vehicles.
According to Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened at about 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Gessner Road.
Deputies said the driver of a green Buick LeSabre ran a red light at the intersection and rear-ended a white Chevy Colorado, causing it to spin and hit a Toyota Camry.
The Buick rotated due to the first crash and collided with Toyota Sienna.
The Buick driver was extricated from that vehicle by the HFD crews and rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies said the drivers of the other vehicles were in stable condition after the crash.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
