Houston, Texas (May 27, 2017) – A man was killed Wednesday night when he was struck by a van while unloading cars at Cadillac Dealership Center, according to Houston Police Department.
The incident took place at about 10:30 p.m. in the 10400 block of Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) frontage road near Bissonnet.
According to the report, a pickup truck with a large trailer was stopped on the service road to unload cars in front of the David Taylor Cadillac dealership.
As the driver of the truck was on the back of the trailer unloading a vehicle, a silver Dodge Caravan driving on U.S. Highway 59 frontage road struck the rear of the trailer, and went up the ramp and hit the man.
The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Dodge driver was not injured and was not suspected of intoxicated driving.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
