Edgar Hatchel Struck and Killed Erskine and North Englewood

Lubbock, TX. – A Pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Nort Lubbock Thursday night, according to a police report.

The pedestrian accident happened at about 10 p.m. Thursday, June 18 at the intersection of Erskine and North Englewood Streets.

Authorities responded to the scene and found 73-year-old Hedgar Hatchel dead at the scene.

Initial investigation revealed that Hatchel was trying to cross the street from the south side of Erskine when he was hit by a passenger vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old James Woodruff at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
