Guadalupe Padilla Palacios ID’d as Man Killed in Austin Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 360
Austin, Texas (June 14, 2019) – The man who was killed Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Austin has been identified as 42-year-old Guadalupe Padilla Palacios, according to the Austin Police Department.
The crash happened at about 12:28 p.m. June 8, at the intersection of Great Hills Trail and N. Capital of Texas Highway.
Police said a white 2016 Ford Explorer turned westbound onto 360 from Great Hills Trail and the driver failed to yield to use the dedicated merge lane and moved into the right lane of the roadway, hitting Palacios’ truck.
The impact caused the truck to overturn and hit a guardrail.
Palacios was rushed to the hospital where he died the next day from his injuries.
