Corpus Christi, Texas (November 23, 2017) – A Taft man was killed on Tuesday evening after a rear-end crash on Highway 181 caused his car to roll over, according to DPS reports.
The fatal accident took place at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21 on Highway 181, two miles north of Gregory city in San Patricio County.
DPS said a Chevy Impala was traveling southbound on the highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the back of Nissan Sentra, driven by Horatio Moreno, 54, of Taft, who was also traveling southbound.
The impact of the crash caused Moreno’s Nissan to roll.
Moreno died at the scene of the crash, according to the report.
The Chevy driver was injured and was transported to the hospital. Details on the extent of the injuries were not available.
The crash is under an investigation.
