Jennifer Searcy Killed, 3 Injured in Harris County Five-Vehicle Crash at FM 1960 and Highway 290

Harris County, Texas (March 5, 2019) – The woman who died in a suspected DUI crash Sunday morning at a Harris County intersection has been identified as Jennifer Searcy, 37, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at about 11:00 a.m. March 3, at the intersection of FM 1960 and Highway 290.
Deputies said Jeramie Doucet, 32, was driving his late model Mercedes Benz sedan at a high rate of speed approaching the intersection when he rear-ended a Ford Expedition that had stopped for heavy traffic at the intersection.
The impact sparked a chain reaction. A total of five vehicles were involved in the crash.
Searcy was a passenger in a black SUV driven by her mother Tina.
The two were taken to the hospital in critical condition and Jennifer died at the hospital.
Two other people were also taken to the hospital.
Doucet tried to flee the scene but was apprehended by the officers.
He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The crash remains under investigation.
