Joel Garza, John Rodriguez, and Lewis Rodriguez Injured in Crash with Tractor-Trailer on Highway 84 near Slaton

Slaton, Texas (May 27, 2018) – Three Lubbock men were hospitalized after a collision involving a tractor-trailer on Saturday afternoon near Slaton, according to the DPS.
The crash took place on Highway 84 just west of All American Chevrolet at about 1:15 p.m.
According to a report by the DPS, a tractor-trailer was heading west on the highway when it rear-ended a Lincoln passenger car that was being towed by a Chevrolet pickup truck.
The impact of the crash pushed the Lincoln into the back of the pickup truck.
Two people riding in the car, Joel Garza, 46 and John Rodriguez, 59, both of Lubbock, and the driver of the pickup truck, Lewis Rodriguez, 53, also of Lubbock, were all taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment. Their injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
The accident is under investigation.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
