Jorelle Reese ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Longview Accident on W. Marshall Avenue
Longview, Texas (December 16, 2018) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday evening in Longview has been identified as Jorelle Antwon Reese, 32, of Longview, according to police.
The tragic accident was reported at around 6:37 p.m. Saturday, December 15 in the 1100 block of W. Marshall Avenue.
Police said Reese was crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk when he walked into the westbound path and was hit by a 2009 Pontiac G6 that was heading westbound on the outside lane of W. Marshall Avenue.
Reese sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No immediate details regarding the driver of the vehicle were available.
The crash remains under investigation.
