Jquadron Thomas ID’d as Person Killed in San Augustine County Crash on SH 147
San Augustine County, Texas (October 2, 2018) – The person who was killed Saturday morning in a two-vehicle collision in San Augustine County has been identified as Jquadron Thomas, 25, of Nacogdoches, according to a report by Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
The deadly accident took place at around 7:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29 on SH 147, approximately eight miles south of San Augustine.
According to the DPS, a 2011 Ford passenger car was heading northbound on SH 147 when for unknown reasons the Ford crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a southbound 2016 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer.
Thomas, who was driving the passenger car, was pronounced dead at the scene by a San Augustine County Justice of the Peace.
The driver of the truck tractor semi-trailer, Farajollah Hayati, 59, of Flint, was not injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
