Juan Pompa-Castro Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on S. Osage Street in Randall County

Randall County, Texas – A man was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Randall County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 4:30 p.m., May 13, near S. Osage Street and E. Sundown Lane.

DPS said 52-year-old Juan Pompa-Castro of Amarillo was driving a Chevrolet Malibu southbound on S. Osage while a pickup truck pulling a trailer was traveling northbound.

The Malibu veered into the northbound lane and the pickup truck attempted to avoid the crash by veering into the ditch. The Malibu sideswiped the back end of the pickup, crashing into the front left of the trailer.

The trailer detached from the pickup and the pickup rolled onto its top.

Pompa-Castro was killed in the crash.

No additional information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
