Keenan Hilsabeck Killed in Crash with Street Racers at Columbus Trail and McCart Avenue in Fort Worth

Keenan Hilsabeck ID’d as Man Killed in Fort Worth Two-Vehicle Crash at Columbus Trail and McCart Avenue near Sycamore Village Shopping Center
Fort Worth, Texas (October 29, 2018) – The man who was killed Sunday morning in a traffic collision involving street racers at an intersection in South Fort Worth, has been identified as Keenan Hilsabeck, 22, of Fort Worth, according to the officials.
The fatal crash took place at around 4:00 a.m. October 28, at the intersection of Columbus Trail and McCart Avenue, just south of the Sycamore Village Shopping Center.
Mike Hilsabeck, the victim’s father, said Hilsabeck was a passenger in his co-worker’s car at the time of the crash.
Police said Hilsabeck and her coworker were turning from McCart onto Columbus when one of the street racing vehicles hit their vehicle.
Hilsabeck was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly before 5 a.m.
One of the racers fled the scene after the accident to a nearby home.
No additional information about the crash was available.
An investigation is underway.
