Koree Alcoser ID’d as 2nd Victim in Wrong-way Crash That Killed 3 in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX – The authorities have identified another victim in the deadly wrong-way crash that claimed the lives of three people, including a Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy, early Sunday.
The victim, identified as 20-year-old Koree Alcoser, 2o, was a passenger in a vehicle operated by Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy Meredith Portillo.
Alcoser, Portillo, and a third person were traveling in a black 2024 Ford Mustang when they were struck head-on by a wrong-way driver in the southbound lanes of IH-37 at Loop 1604.
Alcoser died while being taken to the hospital. Deputy Portillo and the wrong-way driver were pronounced dead at the scene. The third passenger in the Mustang was hospitalized with serious injuries.

San Antonio, TX – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has released a statement saying one of the three people in a fiery wrong-way crash in San Antonio was Deputy Meredith Portillo, 20.
Portillo was driving a black 2024 Ford Mustang that collided head-on with a Ford F-150 traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of IH-37 at Loop 1604.
Portillo was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the wrong-way pickup truck was killed in the fire.
A backseat passenger in the Mustang died while being taken to the hospital. The front passenger of the Mustang was hospitalized in serious condition.
According to BCSO, Deputy Meredith Portillo began her law enforcement career with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in September of 2023 and she graduated from the detention academy in January of 2024.
