Pedestrian Injured in Valley Mills Drive Crash with Vehicle in Waco

Waco, Texas (December 12, 2017) – A 47-year-old man was struck and seriously injured by a pickup truck on Valley Mills Drive in Waco Sunday evening.
Waco police said the victim, Lester James, 47, was hit at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 9 in the 800 block of Valley Mills Drive.
According to a preliminary investigation, Lester walked into the path of a Chevrolet Avalanche and was struck.
Lester sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.
Police said the driver of the Chevy was unlikely at fault
The crash is under investigation.
