Amarillo, Texas (February 18, 2018) – One person was killed and another hospitalized following a hit-and-run pedestrian collision early Sunday morning in Amarillo, according to Amarillo police report.
The fatal wreck happened at around 1:50 a.m. Sunday, February 18, in the 2600 block of East Amarillo Boulevard.
Police said 58-year-old Lucila Trevino and 43-year-old Jose Grado, both from Friona, were struck by a car which fled the accident scene.
Trevino was pronounced dead at the scene while Grado was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
