Luis Anthony Luna Killed in Hit-and-Run on Airport Freeway in North Richland Hills

North Richland Hills, Texas – The pedestrian who was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run accident in North Richland Hills has been identified as Luis Anthony Luna, 16, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The deadly accident happened around 8:45 p.m., May 16, in the 8600 block of eastbound Texas 183/Airport Freeway, near the Northeast Loop 820 split.

Police said Luna was struck by a vehicle on the freeway. The vehicle fled the scene after the accident. 

Luna was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the North Richland Hills Police Department at 817-281-1000.
