Male Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle on North Freeway in Houston

Houston, TX – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on a freeway in Houston on Thursday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

The incident took place on the 5000 Block of North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) at about 10:55 p.m. January 16.

The HPD reported that the pedestrian was walking west across the freeway when he was hit by a southbound red Honda HRV.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, stayed at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.

The HPD is investigating the accident.
