Houston, Texas (November 16, 2017) – A 83-year-old man who was hospitalized with critical injuries after a hit-and-run collision in west Houston Wednesday early this month has died from his injuries, police said.
The crash happened on Wednesday, November 1, at 2900 Dunvale.
According to a police report, the man was struck by a southbound vehicle while walking across the street at 2900 Dunvale.
Authorities said the victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries on Wednesday, November 15.
The driver of the vehicle fled the accident scene.
According to investigators report, the victim was on foot and did not yield the right of the way of the traffic when he was struck.
An investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
