According to San Antonio police, the deadly accident happened around 11:07 p.m. on September 24, on West Woodlawn Avenue at Vollum Boulevard just north of downtown.

Man Dies in San Antonio Truck Accident on West Woodlawn Avenue

San Antonio, TX – A man was killed late Tuesday night after he allegedly ran a red light and collided head-on with another car in San Antonio.

According to San Antonio police, the deadly accident happened around 11:07 p.m. on September 24, on West Woodlawn Avenue at Vollum Boulevard just north of downtown.

Police believe that a man in his 40s was driving a 2008 Ford F-150 when he ran a stop sign and collided with a 2019 Honda Civic.

The impact of the collision caused the Ford F-150 to flip over and the driver was ejected and then pinned underneath the vehicle.

The driver was rescued after police and firefighters managed to lift the truck. Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

No additional information regarding the incident was provided. The accident remains under investigation.
