Fatal Three-Car Crash North Freeway Near North Loop
Houston, Texas (May 2, 2017) – A man died Sunday morning following a three-car crash on North Freeway, according to a police report.
At about 4:15 a.m. a man driving a black car on North Freeway got two blown-out left tires. The man stopped his car in the moving far left lane, and a friend driving a white car behind him stopped to help.
The driver of the car with a flat tire was standing between the two stopped cars when a white pickup truck rear-ended the white car, pinning the man between the two cars.
The unidentified man died at the scene. The driver of the white car was able to jump out of the way in time. He and a passenger in the black car were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
