Austin, TX. – 64-year-old Margaret Govea has been identified as the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday night in Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, the accident happened in the 8500 block of North Lamar Boulevard at around 11:18 p.m.
Govea was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
The emergency responders attempted to offer life-saving measures to the woman, but she died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.
