Michael Prendergast Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 West near Vinton
El Paso, Texas – A 39-year-old man was killed Saturday night after being hit by a semi-truck in El Paso, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 8:00 p.m., April 13, on Interstate 10 West at Mile Marker 5 near Vinton.
Police said Michael Prendergast was driving a pickup truck eastbound on the freeway when he pulled over. He then crossed over into the westbound lanes in front of a semi-truck. The driver of the semi-truck could not stop in time and hit Prendergast.
Prendergast was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Special Traffic Investigations unit is investigating the crash.
