Man Dies in Weslaco Pedestrian Collision at Expressway 83 and Border Avenue

Weslaco, Texas (November 23, 2017) — According to Weslaco Police Department, a man was fatally struck by a vehicle in Weslaco on Sunday.
The incident took place at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday, November 19, near Expressway 83 and Border Avenue.
According to officials, the man was struck by a vehicle while trying to walk across expressway on foot. The driver of the car which hit him was unable to see him in time.
Reportedly, the driver stopped to render help to the victim who suffered serious injuries. Unfortunately, the victim died of his injuries.
No charges or citations were issued in the incident.
No further details on the crash were immediately provided.
The incident remained under an investigation.
