Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash on Gulf Freeway at Edgebrook
Houston, Texas (June 14, 2019) – A person was killed in a hit-and-run collision early Friday morning in Houston, according to a police report.
The collision happened at about 3:45 a.m. on the Gulf Freeway at Edgebrook.
Police said two men were in the middle of one of the lanes when they were hit by a black GMC.
The driver of the GMC fled the scene after the incident.
Emergency crews responded to the incident and found that one person had died at the scene. The other victim was hospitalized for his injuries.
Police closed two lanes of northbound I-45 feeder at Edgebrook as the scene was investigated.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
