Ray Horn ID’d as Comal County Deputy Killed in FM 3009 Car Accident near Dimrock
Comal County, Texas (January 18, 2019) – The deputy with Comal County Sheriff’s Office who was killed Thursday evening in a traffic collision in Comal County has been identified as Ray Horn, 44, according to police.
The deadly accident occurred at about 5:15 p.m. Thursday, January 17 on FM 3009 and Dimrock.
Police said the crash involved three vehicles, including the deputy’s. Horn possibly suffered a medical emergency while driving, causing the collision.
Horn was transported to the hospital, where he was declared dead shortly after arrival. Another person was also transported a hospital but was expected to be OK.
A third person was not injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
