2 Students Injured in Odessa Pedestrian Accident on E. 17th Street at Dowling Elementary
Odessa, Texas (April 27, 2019) – Two students were hit by a car Friday morning in Odessa, according to a local news release.
The accident was reported at about 7:43 a.m. April 26, in the 1510 block of E. 17th Street at Dowling Elementary.
Police said a 7-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl were crossing the street in a crosswalk when they were hit by a vehicle.
Both victims were taken to Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The car driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way at a crosswalk.
The police are investigating the accident.
