Tyrese Manigo Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Highway 321 in Dayton

8th Grader Tyrese Manigo Killed in Dayton Bicycle Accident at Highway 321 and County Road 676

Dayton, Texas (January 31, 2020) – A 14-year-old boy was hit and killed by a truck Thursday morning in Dayton, according to officials.

The accident happened at about 6:45 a.m. January 30, at the intersection of Highway 321 and County Road 676.

Officials said Tyrese Manigo, 14, was riding a bicycle to Woodrow Wilson Junior High School and was attempting to cross Highway 321 when he was hit by a southbound pickup truck.

Manigo, who was an 8th grader in the school, was killed in the crash.

No further details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
