Joel Fraustro Dies in Neal Street Accident Tuesday Morning

Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department has identified the person who died after two vehicles collided on Neal Street on Tuesday morning as 48-year-old Joel Fraustro.

Joel Fraustro was a passenger in a Lexus LS-430 that ran a stop sign at a high rate of speed at the intersection of Neal Street and Glenview Drive, and struck a blue Chevrolet Silverado.

Police say the Lexus was northbound on Neal Street while the Silverado was westbound on Glenview Drive.

Fraustro was transported to an area hospital where he died.

The driver of the Silverado was also taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The 37-year-old Lexus driver was later arrested after fleeing the scene on foot.

Houston, TX – A passenger was killed after two vehicles collided on Neal Street in Houston on Tuesday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Houston police said the deadly collision occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on December 31 at 4500 Neal Street near Glenview Drive.

Officers said a silver Lexus LS-430 was traveling north on Neal Street at a high rate of speed when the driver disregarded a stop sign and struck a blue Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Glenview Drive.

The impact caused the Silverado to spin, coming to a rest in the front yard of a residence at 8353 Glenview Drive.

The Lexus also spun around, collided with the house, and stopped on the east side of the residence.

The passenger of the Lexus was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Silverado sustained minor injuries and was also taken to an area hospital.

The driver of the Lexus reportedly fled on foot to a house at 8245 Glenview.

The 37-year-old suspect was later arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on unrelated charges.

The accident remains under investigation.
