Woman Killed in Austin Pedestrian Crash on North Lamar Boulevard

Austin, Texas (February 22, 2019) – A woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident involving a hit-and-run driver on Thursday night in Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.
The emergency crews responded to the incident at about 8:30 p.m. February 21, to the incident in the 8100 block of North Lamar Boulevard.
According to the report, ATCEMS attempted CPR on the victim but were unsuccessful. the victim died at the scene of the crash.
No details were provided on the identity of the woman.
The crash caused a closure of southbound North Lamar Boulevard at Powell Lane as the scene was examined.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
