Woman Killed in Crash with 18-Wheeler on Loop 288 in Denton

Denton, TX – A woman is dead following a traffic collision involving a car and an 18-wheeler in Denton Tuesday morning, according to Denton Police.

The accident happened at about 10:15 a.m. on Loop 288 near Sherman Drive.

According to the police, medics responded to the scene and transported an injured woman to the hospital.

Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The deceased woman was the only person injured in the incident.

A section of Loop 288 was shut down as officers investigated the crash scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
