Houston, Texas (April 11, 2017) – According to a police report, a man was killed and another injured in a wrong-way head-on car accident in Houston, according to a police report.
The incident occurred at about 5:45 a.m. Sunday, April 9 when an SUV driver traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-45 collided head-on with a southbound car near FM 1960, as per the police report.
Reportedly, the SUV caught fire after the accident with the driver trapped inside. The wrong-way driver was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was flown to Memorial Herman Hospital in serious condition, as per the report.
The identities of both men have not been made public pending notification of family.
