The deadly collision happened on Friday, February 21, 2025, at approximately 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of S. IH-35 SVRD NB and E. Ben White Boulevard, APD said.

Yoania Fernandez, 24, Killed in 3-Vehicle Accident on TX-35 Service Road in Austin

Austin, TX – A 24-year-old woman, identified as Yoania Fernandez, was killed in a three-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Austin last week Friday, according to the Austin Police Department (APD).

The deadly collision happened on Friday, February 21, 2025, at approximately 11:15 p.m. at the intersection of S. IH-35 SVRD NB and E. Ben White Boulevard, APD said.

According to APD, the driver of the first vehicle left the scene after the collision. The driver of the second vehicle, later identified as Yoania Fernandez, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Unfortunately, Fernandez succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, APD said.

The driver of the third vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The incident remains under investigation.
